A parthenogenetic population of Stenochrus portoricensis (Schizomida) was found in the greenhouse of the botanical garden in Brno. Most species of this order occur in the tropics and subtropics, where they inhabit litter including termite and ant mounds. This one has spread from southern Mexico.
