Bibliography

As part of the LIFE in Salt Marshes project, surveys of wetland invertebrates in South Moravia revealed two spider species previously unrecorded in the Czech Republic: salticid Attulus inexpectus (Logunov & Kronestedt, 1997) and theridid Crustulina sticta (O. Pickard-Cambridge, 1861). Attulus inexpectus was found at the saline wetland Trkmanec – Rybníčky, where the critically endangered spider Entelecara omissa O. Pickard-Cambridge, 1903 was also confirmed. Crustulina sticta, a rare wetland-associated species, was recorded at Kosteliska near Dubňany. Both sites are managed through extensive livestock grazing, which promotes habitat heterogeneity and supports diverse assemblages of rare and threatened species. These discoveries highlight the importance of wetland restoration and management for biodiversity conservation.
